Well, i started to question her for more precise reasons and basically what i got from her was she is young and not ugly enough to tolerate a guy for some perhaps small flaws (that other girls can accept it) for life. She is right! 3 years for a fruitless relationship is not consider short and definately long enough to know where your patient stand.
